Commentary on above ET-50 picture by Bob Harrison,
Crew Chief, 66-67:
I have the same picture of 50 (in the pond) on my wall and
since I got the picture for Joe I guess I can name
a few of the guys. I was on the check crew at the
time and seemed to make it out to quite a few recoveries.
I am the body in the cockpit. Gehlan is the crewchief
standing on top of the tail section and I believe that
Stan Arnold in mucking around in the front transmission
area. Gehlan had a load of grunts on when he
picked this pond to land in and he wasn't too appreciated
because when I got out there most of them must have
dumped their gear rather than try to swim with it.
