KY HA NCO CLUBS
Photos courtesy L. W. "Brad" Bradbury H&MS-36, MAG-36 - 1966-67

Two Marines can be seen sitting at a table on the patio in the
photo below. The way things go in life, I wouldn't be one
bit surprised (if the pic was clearer) to find out you knew
them. I played a lot of cards sitting at those tables. The
date on the photo border is May 67. The sea is on the right.
Look closely in the background and you'll see the framework
and foundation of the new EM Club. - Brad Bradbury

This photo is the new NCO Club "on the hill". The structure
which is barely seen on left side of photo is none other
than the famous "Vic's Hotsie Baths". The pride of
Ky Ha. HOT Showers. Many a night I've come full
awake, wet with sweat, having experienced yet another
nightmare about the feel of the ice-cold water hitting my
body, before the construction of Vic's; Even today, I can't
stop myself from hitting the deck whenever I hear the
sounds of running water.   The village of Sam Hai is back to
the left of this photo. Down hill and to the right is
the Sand Ramp, the Hootch's and Main Base. The new Staff
NCO Club was located directly across the road and to the
extreme right of the photo. The 'O' Club was beyond that. We
were very proud of the new club. Then the Army took it over.

Toad & Phrogs

This is a pic I named "Toad & Phrogs"
It reminded me of a big ol' jealous toad. Just sitting
there in envy of the Phrogs Rotor Heads. They just parked
that damaged ontos there and it remained there for quite a while.
